The former T.E.A. Factory has since been taken over by Barrio Alegria in Reading, Pennsylvania. Barrio Alegia is a community engagement organization that utilizes the arts to create transformations in individuals to help them transform their communities; utilizing the arts to build, empower, and strengthen communities through individuals. Amanda generated Press Releases and Media Partnership Announcements about upcoming news and community collaborations, workshops, classes, meetings and more. She also helped to maintain their schedule of events, social media presence, and manage event promotions and advertising. In addition, she facilitated pre/post event preparations and day of show operations. Special events included: fundraising, private events, community and special events and more. -
T.E.A. Factory
Media Communications and Special Events Coordinator

The former T.E.A. Factory was a community co-work space in Reading, Pennsylvania. The T.E.A. Factory offered access to a co-workspace environment and was active in supporting local artists and entrepreneurs. Creatives within the worlds of Technology, Education, Entertainment and the Arts had a place to gather, nourish their creativity, network with others, collaborate and much more. T.E.A offered individual or group office space, an event space for workshops, classes, meetings, private events and more.
While volunteering at T.E.A., Amanda helped to maintain their social media presence as well as coordinate and promote the schedule of events. She generated Press Releases and Media Partnership Announcements about upcoming news and community collaborations, the schedule of special events, workshops, classes, meetings and more. She also managed event promotions and advertising, as well as pre/post event preparations and day of show operations. Special events included: Art Showcases, Networking Workshops, Holiday Bizarre, Fundraising, Craft Fairs, and Private Events, among others

Co- Produce and Manage a (4) part special event series for the community. The End of Summer Bandshell Series was held at the Reading Fireman’s Memorial Bandshell and was a free community event that included live music and entertainment, artisan and food vendors, children’s activities, workshops, libation garden and more.
Amanda helped to manage all venue and event logistics, prep and event execution including: securing permits, insurance and other production necessities; sponsorship and donation funding; book talent and handle contract negotiations; book artists, artisans and food/beverage vendors, schedule workshops and music/entertainment; key contact for guest relations, customer service and talent hospitality; emcee and host; schedule and train volunteers; coordinate and manage all marketing and public relations tasks such as handle distribution of all Press Releases, digital and print materials, manage online presence and promotions, maintain local media (TV and Radio) correspondence -
